The LPGA Goes to Hollywood

Without Frankie. (Old music joke.) The DIO Implant LA Open is making its fourth appearance beneath the legendary Hollywood sign.

Wilshire Country Club was an important stop early in the PGA Tour's history, hosting the Lost Angeles Open four times before World War 2. Now it's gaining fame for the caliber of its past winners Ariya Jutanugarm, Minjee Lee and defending champion Brooke Henderson.

I suppose the biggest story coming in is Jin Young Ko making her first start since her T53 finish at the Chevron a few weeks back. After some time off and some work on her swing she's coming back to a course where she has good history, having posted three Top5s in her previous appearances.

The field is pretty strong, with 8 of the Top10 in the Race for the CME Globe scheduled to play.

GC's coverage starts Thursday at 6:30pm ET. Yes, the LPGA's in California so we get more prime time golf! What more can you ask for?
