A Drill for Creating Shaft Lean (Video)

This short video teaches a drill that will get your lead side into the correct position for good impact. I will simply add this: Make sure you understand what that position is. Viewed from the front, your lead leg will appear to be vertical. Viewed from the side, it will appear to lean backward, away from the ball. That's because your lead hip has moved back as you turn toward the target at impact. It's not a difficult position but many players never get there. Practice it and you'll improve your impact.
