This is a radical idea... and yet I can see some logic to it. Mike Malaska suggests that, by taking a few shots on the range with your driver before you start your round BUT NOT AIMING THOSE SHOTS, you can find out where most of your shots are likely to go that day and then you can aim to take advantage of that knowledge during your round. It sounds like something you could test on the range before you take it out on the course. If you're struggling to keep your drives in play, why not give it a try and see if it helps?
