This is the first of a new series Mike has started about how to play extreme lies on the golf course, based on the kinds of problems players will tend to see at the PGA. As I post this, there are three videos in the series. This one is about how to play a shot when the ball is WAAAAY above your feet.
Pay close attention because the concept of aiming the trajectory of the club sounds a little crazy at first but it's how you accurately aim the club in this situation.
The golf weekend in Asia was highlighted by the first score of 58 on the JGTO since Ryo Ishikawa back in 2008. Seong-Hyeon Kim accomplished the feat thanks to 8 birdies and 2 eagles on the par 70 layout at the Golf Partner Pro-Am Tournament, vaulting him into a tie for 11th at -17. 3 players finished tied at the top on -21, and on the 3rd sudden death hole South African Shaun Norris outlasted Tomohiro Otsuki and Scott Vincent after making up a 5 shot deficit at the start of the day with a final round 63.
ReplyDeleteIn the rain-shortened Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open Mone Inami cruised to a 6 shot victory with scores of 61-68. It was her 5th win of the year and 6th of the 2020/2021 JLPGA season.
It was match play week on the KLPGA, Min Ji Park reigned supreme at the Doosan Match Play Championship, outlasting Ju Young Park (kid sister of LPGA veteran Hee Young) 3 and 1 in the final for her 3rd win of 2021. Having won half the events held so far, Min Ji has now overtaken major winner Hyun Kyung Park atop the money list and player of the year standings.
